So I got the guitar to MIDI to work using my VG99.
This is something I recorded a couple of hours ago, playing with using MIDI via a Roland VG99 to trigger soft synths.
I hadn't managed to get it to work satisfactorily before, then I did. The actual details are too boring for words, really. I was playing around with different sounds, and ended up making this. Everything is played via the VG99 - the organ is being triggered at the same time as the guitar, and I added the trumpet and bass afterwards, all just noodled in. All the sounds apart from the actual guitar are Native Instruments Kontakt patches.
The name is just the kind of thing they used to call tracks like this in the early 70s. Or at least I think so.
(I meant just to upload it here, but previewing the track, I like it so much I think I'll upload it everywhere else, as well.)
