Way Back

Some kind of indie rock song.

A song about how my family doesn't get along. If the last one wasn't produced enough, this one is probably too much so. Haven't been able to use my monitors, so hopefully this headphone mix sounds okay.

Whoa, I'm getting a real Bellingham-in-the-early-2000s vibe off of this, which--in case that isn't clear--is *fantastic!*

Can relate to the lyrics. Love the writing, arranging, and production. Really keening and raw, pain-and frustration-suffused. Good choice of the thin mid/high biting edge in the sonic palette, and especially the swirling tremolo background chorus voices in the, um, chorus. Theremin outro also a memorable touch. Strong work!

I really like this! You've got an early Muse vibe going on, without the overproduction that they often veered into.

There is a total late 90s/early 2000s vibe on MeFiMusic at the moment that is making me regress to my teens and I am loving it.
