Hey there. I make music as Northern Flicker. I don't usually post music here, but given the current situation I figured what the heck. This is a track from my new album, Rituals, which came out two days ago.

When I was wrapping up work on this album at the end of 2019, I felt a strange urgency, like I needed to get it done then because things were changing so fast. I’d wanted to make music that captured the feeling of life as it has been for the last few years. I think I managed to do that, at least for myself, and maybe for some other people. The overall theme of the album is, broadly, the idea of people carrying on with life as usual in spite of everything.

And I discovered this through the podcast and went straight to the show notes to find it. I like it a whole lot, bananana!
