Let Me Into The Blaseball

August 16, 2020 1:20 PM

While most recording equipment is destroyed by the ambient cosmic horror rays that suffuse a typical blaseball game, we've unearthed a rare crowd sing-along performance captured on hand-carved vinyl by an especially stalwart Charleston Shoe Thieves fan. Here, then, is "Let Me Into The Blaseball", an absolutely legally non-infringing original song that blaseball fans have been known to sing in what short time the Blaseball Gods choose to grant them.

I really like the idea of doing a proper singalong version of this; if folks in the blaseball fandom end up digging it and are into sending along recordings of themselves singing along, I'll happily compiles those into a crowd-singing version that doesn't sound so suspiciously like a half-dozen Joshes yelling at a mic from five feet away.

Lyrics:

Let me into the blaseball
Let me into the stands
The crackle of peanuts, the crack of the gunblades
The screaming of millions of terrified fans

Every week is a year long
Time flies when you're eaten by birds
So let me into the blaseball
And read me the Forbidden Words

The Commisioner is doing a great job
So read me the Forbidden Words
Play ball!

My "the words are forbidden" t-shirt has people asking a lot of questions already answered by my shirt.

I was going to see if you had posted this in the #fanworks channel of the discord, but you're in there about four hours ago showing off your personal blaseball fan page, so I figure it's probably been posted already. I love this!
