Gan Ainm No. 1

This is a little tune I wrote a few months back. I was thinking about Irish slow airs, and wanted to have some of that feel, combined with some harmony stuff I've been playing with. I was down visiting my parents, and showed it off for them, and they demanded I record it for them, so here it is!

This is played on my 1945 Epiphone Blackstone archtop, which I really love for melodic playing. Recorded super simply using my Zoom H5 as an audio interface into Reaper.

This is lovely. Those low harmonies hit right in the gut. Nice work!

Wow, I really like this. Even a simple recording gets a really lovely sound, too - warm, slightly percussive, and spacious.

Yeah this has the feeling like you are sitting right there, in the room. I also like the John Fahey feel. Your parents are lucky!

Lovely -- evokes warm but not hot; clear breezes; tea; comfy chair.
