Voyager

Thoughts of a spacecraft on its long journey.

I wrote this a few years ago, after a friend recited one of his poems at a party, describing Voyager as a sort of long-distance singles ad: "Intelligent race seeks same for fun and romance." I took it in a different direction.

Performed this live with my band, Little Bobby Tables, through 2017 and 2018.

Aw, this is great and poignant. Singer's voice reminds me of Neko Case. Puts a new spin on star crossed lovers, although I admire you not using that line in thing song.
