Data Limit

Some friends and I have been writing for an album of super-dumb joke songs. This is a demo of one that's got a distinctly 90s-britpop vibe.

Obviously I get the Britpop vibe (I was always more Blur than Oasis though!) but it transcends that with a good strong chorus. Splendid production and mix - I can hear everything clearly. Cracking stuff - love it!

Thanks all! And yeah, Blur were never as big in the states as Oasis, but I'm firmly in their camp, retrospectively. And thanks for the comment about the chorus. Not to pat myself on the back, but I was pretty proud of the lift into this chorus.

Really looking forward to recording these tracks with the band, one of these days ...

Oh immediately I wanted to kick the speakers, and I'm wearing headphones. You got it spot on, harmonies, dynamics, the snotty attitude, the whole 90's Britpop & Pop-Punk Toolbox was used on this one.

You really hit the nail on the head: where the wood was my head; and the split from the nail cleaved the wood into a before—"grunge being mainstreamed is good"—to the future—"ok enough please enough oh it's evolving oh no".

This song is that nail. In my head.
Fuck I hated this.

I am laughing in a good way! So well done and I love that you haven't gone too close to a spoof, but actually caught the feel of the era. So well performed too. Humour kinda reminds me of Jesus Lived Six Years Longer Than Kurt Cobain
