Music video and vinyl release!

April 21, 2021 1:23 PM

Hey folks, I posted this over in the Projects section: an incredible music video for my song Again, featuring hand made puppets and miniatures! I wanted to share here because I have been posting songs here (89 of them!) since I was 17, and the support from this community made a world of difference in my songwriting. For a long time, the ONLY people I shared my music with were you all. Probably all the songs on the album have been posted (probably in 2 or 3 forms) on this website. BUT if you'd like to order a vinyl or special edition vinyl to support a local charity in Seattle, visit seththomas.bandcamp.com. Thank you all for your support over the years (er, decade plus).

Update: 100% of the profits from the special edition vinyl with ink drawing will go to Rainier Valley Midwives in Seattle, WA.

Holy shit, Corduroy. The song, the production, the video. They're all impeccable. What an accomplishment! I've always love your songs, but this takes it to another level. I'm blown away!

Thank you, umbĂș! I'm blown away, too. I usually don't like to spend more than a day on making something, so it has been a really good growing experience to work with Jonathan, who is as much a perfectionist as I've ever seen. The video I really can't take any credit for, that's all Jonathan and his partner Aaron Labaki.

And thank you for ordering a record!! :D

I was gonna say some bla blah about how masterfully you connected chords and 9ths and 7ths and resolved bla bla, but by the end I was just like, "Wow." And I didn't expect that. I mean you are a known entity as a great musician anyway but yeah what umbu said. It's like the video and the song made each other even better. I don't often just sit there in front of a video and go, "Wow. this is a great little movie. Wow." You (and filmmaker) compressed the essence of so many things into under 4 minutes. Nice work.

not_on_display, thanks so much! I'm very glad the song and video seem to help lift each other. The video is totally a little movie, and I'll show Jonathan your kind words.

I only just saw this and WOW what a treat! This is so, so great. I'm going to watch it again in a minute.
