"That One Last Rose" is an original, traditional honky-tonk country song, in the style of Buck Owens, Ray Price, Dwight Yoakam. Playing on it (and on the album it comes from, Last Rose) are some incredible, truly legendary musicians. Byron Berline, Dan Dugmore, and, on other songs on the album, Jason Carter, and Kristin Scott Benson. See my website for more information.

“That One Last Rose,” from the upcoming album, Last Rose (release date: Dec. 30, 2022), was inspired by great Honky-Tonk Country Music artists like Ray Price, Buck Owens and Dwight Yoakam.

What luck, when technology advanced far enough to enable me to enlist some of the greatest guest musicians in the land. First and foremost, renowned fiddler, Byron Berline https://www.nytimes.com/2021/07/12/arts/music/byron-berline-dead.html
famous for playing with all the greats, Bill Monroe, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Gram Parsons, Vince Gill, to name but a few.

Also, pedal steelist Dan Dugmore https://dandugmore.com/aboutdan.html
veteran of Linda Ronstadt’s and James Taylor’s great bands.

About Ted Silar
I've been around for 70 years and writing songs for 60. I've played rock ‘n’ roll at high school hops, blues in Texas roadhouses, country in rural fire halls, jazz piano in smoky cocktail lounges, sung Bach in Saxony and twelve-tone music a cappella. I don’t expect to be a rock star, Never did. But I would like to find a small following who like my kind of music. I think maybe that’s possible. In my time, I've written country, rock ‘n’ roll, classical, jazz, rhythm and blues
(see: https://www.youtube.com/user/TedSilar)

“That One Last Rose” is in a Honky-Tonk Country style. Strictly Retro. I like that kind of music from the 40s, 50s, 60s. And so I’m doing it. Kind of like Tony Bennett. He didn’t pay attention to trends."
