Twitter joke that turned into an actual country song an hour later. I'm in Huntsville with nothing but my ukulele, so this didn't get the full band treatment I'd otherwise do, but it works pretty well like this.
A short little dumb thing with a jug. [more inside]
A short song about a lazy morning made today in a state of undress for the music challenge. [more inside]
Sloppy slide electric guitar and drums stomper from the tape vault, goes on way too long. [more inside]
Wrote this for my good friends the moths, and their attraction to city street lights.
Some very unserious punk rock from Red On Strike. Garage version.
Hangovers, with Dr. Seuss. [more inside]
This is my great, sweeping ballad … my Piano Man, if you will. Tinged with chili powder. [more inside]
Ridiculous song that I wrote and sang while I was in my cups. You can (unfortunately) see a video of me singing it with the band here. Oberon is a reference to a local microbrew that is rather popular with a "certain crowd."
Singing and guitar and clapping and beerbottle flute and self-reflection. I posted this to the old music.metafilter.com back in 2003.
This is my former band, Heat Lorraine. I'm lead guitar on this track. We had broken up already when we played this show. There was a lot of resentment floating around. We'd all had a few drinks before we went on, but our lead singer (and rhythm guitarist) Brian was drinking with a vengence.
