The Fall Season
I wrote this on a train going into the city. [more inside]
Took to it Like Water
The bones of this song were a proposal for a corporate jingle I was writing... [more inside]
Beautiful Moment / Talk to Her @Ummagma
So I've uploaded the track for 'Beautiful Moment' here, but I also want you to have the track ''Talk to Her'', so grab it here. The first is laced with male vocals, while the second is an instrumental with guitar trickery reminiscent of Robert Fripp or Brian Eno or even Bill Evans a bit.
Blizzard
This is one of those "let's drift away" songs... hazy gazey spacey and dreamy all in oneā¦ If one is prone to daydreaming or aural hypnosis, this may not be the song for you :) Just the same, this is definitely worth a listen to all others. This is Sounds of Sputnik.
Visualization
Everybody likes music for partying mode, but what happens afterwards? This song would be the perfect accompaniment for the comedown afterwards (and even the hangover). Chill, centered, reflective, harmonious. I think :) [more inside]
J.S. Bach
When the radiant bliss of classical music comes to enter the realm of dream pop ambient downtempo, something serene yet pensive may be the result, as in the case of this track.
Initially when we composed this track, there were lyrics and vocals, but then our computer blew and somehow the vocals didn't survive. Today it is an instrumental.
Beautiful Moment
Love generates love generates love. Beautiful Moment seems to capture an element worthy of such progeneration. Harmony, peace, smooth dreaming and a swirl of energy-filled ethereal waves.

Photographer
Whispy male vocals and plenty of air for dream-weaving delicately frame this ethereal song. While "Photographer" is one of Ummagma's more melancholy songs, it's far from depressing. This one stands in the light.
Features male vocals by Alexx Kretov (Ukraine).
Naomi Lullaby
A lullaby for my friends who had their first child on Christmas. Done in NanoStudio on the iPad.
Mellow Ocean Groove
Just a sketch/idea of a song. Doubt I'll do anything with this, but it seemed a shame to toss it. [more inside]
Down with the Tempo
Alright. I used to think using GarageBand (and its loops) to make songs was "cheating". Then I started to use it. It's amazing how fun and easy it is, and you can really create some great sounding music. Here is my first downtempo song, entitled "Down with the Tempo". Enjoy!
The Earthquake was a Disaster
Picture yourself experiencing an earthquake in slow motion. The eerie calm beforehand leading up to the main event itself. Relax and let yourself live through this instrumental story all the way to the finale.
Sprinkled with memories of "Close Encounters of the Third Kind."
Complex Reasons
A hauntingly mellow groove highlighted by Sylvia Plath's "Mushrooms" as performed by the poet herself.
SkyTrain
A sketch of a sunny, bouncy ambient-ish track I Fruitylooped a month or so ago. I may actually completely rewrite it, or something similar, now I have access to a Jupiter 8, and can take my Boards Of Canada / Kraftwerk thieveries to more convincing levels....
