Freddie the Freeloader

Me and my Swedish guitar player friend Gus are working on a jazz guitar/bass duo project. In this rehearsal recording we play one of the easiest jazz songs ever written and still somehow manage to fuck it up (NFSW, some swear words at the beginning). Also, the furnace is running for pretty much the whole take. Sorry about that.

Ven Aqui 1.0

A bit of a production experiment; rather than use a click track + programmed drums, I used a click-free guitar track as the bed, and layered performed keyboard drums on top. A slightly trickier process but thought it would result in more authentic feel/better pocket etc. An instrumental demo track based off Milton Nascimento's "Cravo e Canela". Recorded in the fall of 2015 in Rosebud, AB.

i will (radiohead cover)

Spur-of-the-moment lo-fi live cover of the Radiohead song off Hail to the Thief, to which I added a couple of equally rough overdubs and some reverb. The guitar is out of tune and poorly played, but the vocal melody tweaks are kind of fun. [more inside]

We Have the Technology

My band recorded this for a Song Fight. It's quirky casio acuostic rock, with just a hint of out of tune accordion, and percussion supplied by a djembe. That's me singing.
