Ding Dong
Well, we did a holiday song. I have an alter ego as Fluffy the rabbit. (He's a bit prone to conspiracies and is kinda gruff but really has a heart o' gold). He joins Blue the Monster here on a hopefully-pretty-inclusive* holiday number we think will stick to your brainwaves quite nicely. There's a [youtube] video too, if you want the full dancing-potato and revolving-bagpipes immersive experience. Merry Happy everybody.
*it is a little anti-bagpipes.
Horrible Things What Live in the Sea
The first RPM challenge song written for my creepy puppet, Sailor Martin. The title is self-explanatory. The electric guitar he is singing along to is actually a ukulele. [more inside]
Buy Me Some Gin
I would not have expected that there are any songs I wrote that I don't know about, but going through my files last night I discovered this naughty a capella number, written for my awful puppet, Sailor Martin, back in 2005 in New Orleans.
(A Glass of) Christmas Cheer
A Christmas drinking song by Sailor Martin, a pierced and tattooed sailor puppet, who apparently believes that Yule is a celebration of liquor and vice.
The original recording is Cecil Macklin "Too Much Mustard," recorded by Charles Prince's Band in February of 1913. Lyrics and Sailor Martin's singing voice by yours truly. The singing was recorded on a Kodak z730 digital camera set to record digital video. The soundtrack was then removed and converted to an AIFF using Quicktime Pro, and then added to the original instrumental tracks using Garage Band.
