The Smoke Alarm Sessions, cont'd. At a very young age, I developed a ginormous crush on DannyKaye. Soooo on a whim, Barry and I decided to take an uber-sweet little quick-talk Frank Loesserduet from one of my favorite DKmovies and rework it into a ballad. We're both in love with it, but it hasn't ever been performed in public yet. Here it is.
We are supposed to take advantage of the fact that some of us actually make music and give each others musician's feedback, you know? the kind of helpful insights we can only get from other people who toil with music.
But with you I'm turned into a listener again. I just sit back, stop thinking and enjoy these songs you post. The world fades for a minute or two.
Thx for that, and sorry if I don't have something more useful to offer to you. posted by micayetoca at 7:49 PM on

Miss Lynnster - this is stunning. If I may make so bold, the rough edges on this only enhance it. And now I have to go dig out my old Danny Kaye record. posted by Jofus at 10:52 AM on

I have to second what mica said about the world fading for a minute or two. Everytime I listen to your songs I just stop whatever it is I'm doing, sit back in my chair, close my eyes, and listen.
