The No. 26 Mine Disaster

Written by the incomparable Alistair MacGillivray (who rocks my socks), this song was written after an accident at the No. 26 Colliery in Glace Bay, NS in 1979.

It's a shame this song is not more well-known; I got it out of a songbook, but have never, ever heard it sung by anyone else. Apparently the Men of the Deeps do a choral version of it.

Yes. Beautiful as always LN. You might think about adding some tags, because as beautiful as this is, it is spooky!
