Acoustic version of a previous entry.
An acoustic version with backing band of this song. Recorded using a bunch of crappy microphones, one as a drum overhead, one on the bass guitar amp, one on the vox and one on the acoustic guitar. I played acoustic guitar and sang. Drums by my friend Blake; bass by my friend Simon.
More songs to come.

I like this song a lot, and this version has a definite lo-fi charm. I also like the reverb the midi version had on the voice. And the guitar sounded like it had been put through an effect in the other version, and it sounded great. And I really like the song. I'll be looking forward to the others.

Just bouncing between the two versions, I have to say that I like them both. This version has me smiling though, because of it's acoustic-live-jamminess. And yea, you have a great voice.

Thanks for the comments. I'd be happy if I could find a happy medium between the midi and the acoustic version. At the very least I'd like to add some keyboards to the latter version, and vocal harmonies...and record it better too.

I think you should keep it just the way it is. The lo-fi, off-the-cuff quality works just perfectly with the meaning and feeling of the song.
3-4 and 6-8. It always makes me happy to see those guys hanging out together somewhere other than a jazz club.

As I listen to this song again, I like it more and more. I agree that I think it's great as is, and isn't crying for anything else.
Congrats on getting featured!

Brilliant! Heard this on the podcast a while back and have been listening ever since. You have a really great voice and I agree on the comments on the production of this, I love the lolloping lo-fi-ness of it.

This song comes up on my shuffle every so often. I've been reading up on dayenu lately and this fits into it nicely and cleanly. Thanks for it, again.
