War Waltz

February 16, 2008 5:21 AM

"The tribes of war are rising again, they're brutal and raw and lying the same" That's my favorite line of this song. Warning: turn your volume down it's quite loud ;) The song was recorded in one day and mixed on the next along with 2 others for the band's first demo Cold Day Waltz.

Unfortunately, my band Suneral disbanded last year after 3 intense years rockin the Austrian Hardcore/Metalcore/emocore scene. I know people hate that word "emo", and believe me I hate the fashion, but there is some good music to be found in the genre.

The singer on this album is Joseph Zorn who later went on to produce some crazy acoustic folksy type stuff, it's on his myspace so check it out, I love his voice.

Thanks for listening

I'm the guitar on the right side (lead guitar) in the mix.

Cheers,
Craig

I really like this... it's kick ass, heavy rock. The singer sounds a bit like Raine Maeda on the verse, who is one of my favorites. Very well done.

To me, who has lost his touch with heavy rock over the last couple of years, this sounds like a song S.O.A.D. wish they'd written- catchy, and the guitar sounds are ACE. You guys are tight on the breakdowns, too.

I dig it! (I have a soft spot for slick pop-metal.) Although I would really like to hear it in a better quality MP3; the cymbals and guitars got chewed up pretty good.

Great song, love the guitars. It all sounds well produced and professional, and the vocalist is pretty damn good, too. You guys ever get back together and tour the USA, I'd buy a ticket. :)
