inoculatedcities wrote this, I thought it was awesome and decided to cover it

When I first heard the song I didn't even pay attention to the lyrics and liked it mainly for the music, than I read the lyrics and they were really awesome. I saw the mefi music challenge was to cover another mefi song so here we go. I decided to go a little darker with the music, sorry inoculated but I had to change extraterrestrials to aliens b/c I couldn't pronounce extraterrestrials.

Aside from congratulating you on getting a Challenge submission in on the SECOND DAY of the month, just wanted to say that this is a cool cover. Nice job.

Is this in fact a cover? It was the best thing I hit going down from the top of mefi music and the first I listened to until the end. Good job!

See, this is a perfect example of a great cover. Take an already good song, change it, and make a new great song. None of that bullshit "covering" like the recent "drift away" by Uncle Kracker which is indistinguishable from the original. What's the point?
