Bell Temple (Tixi's Theme)

June 30, 2008 12:10 PM

Music for a video game I'm (slowly but surely) writing - an underground labyrinth of hourglasses, pendulums, and time-based puzzles.

It's video game music so it's meant to loop, of course; as normal for these kind of soundtracks, I let it play through twice then fade out. The beat is exactly 120 bpm, which means - appropriately enough - that if you start it at the right moment, you can watch the seconds hand of a clock beat in sync to it.

The name is an homage to La-Mulana's "Hell Temple"; this game (which I'll probably post more music from at some point, and which I'll definitely post to Projects when it's done) is meant to be a similar sprawling adventure platformer, although with a very different setting.

Very cool track. Can't wait to play the game that goes with it. :)

Yeah man! Definitely has an "on a quest" type vibe to it. Lots of good themes that you rotate through.
