Asteroids
There's a saying that aging is like sailing into an asteroid field, where the asteroids get thicker and thicker until one hits you. This is a song about that. One take everything. Video.
Shame the Devil (Turn it Up)
Quick if somewhat epic demo knocked together over the weekend... featuring glockenspiel, mellotron, piano, and baritone twang. Video shenanigans featuring multiple clones over here.
Almost Over
Another track off the new album, with bonus video and links to the evolution of the song from a first sketch as posted here on MeFiMu. [more inside]
Don't Walk Away
Medford Girls
This is the studio version of a song I posted a while back. With video! Shot in an abandoned school house. Fun times. [more inside]
Gonna Have to Let You Down
Bring Me Sunshine
Quick lo-fi recording of the Morecambe and Wise classic closing song, introduced in about as near to a music-hall style as I can manage. Featuring me, my uke, and a whistling verse. (Twice.) Video is here. [more inside]
The Hurr Durr Swamp
A track I put together in an afternoon to test some MIDI software. [more inside]
Bad Romance (ukulele & synth one-man live cover)
Yes, I know, it's Gaga, and it's overplayed, and likely to polarise opinion. But on the other hand, despite all of that, this really is a good song. (And you can tell it's a good song because it survived me butchering it with a uke.) Video version is available here. [more inside]
Chocolate Bunny Unwraps
I made a little video the other day, inspired by the chocolate easter bunny a friend brought my daughter from Australia. It's a tragedy, in one act. This is the narration soundtrack, by Io Lula, who also happens to be my daughter. She doesn't work cheap, but she's the best in the business. Video can be seen at vimeo. [more inside]
Little Bug on the Floor
This fast and dirty recording is from the mic on a Sony CyberShot camera. It's no audiophile's dream, for sure, but I just felt like getting some recent jaw harp tunes down to live video the other day, as I had a free hour in a big conference room. The room is definitely present in the recording. Anyway, video of this performance can be seen at YouTube and Vimeo. [more inside]
Telling Jokes
Some pretty heavy space dubstep that I made for a variety show that happened this past weekend. [more inside]
Twist and Doubt (spoken version)
This performance recorded live at Super Deluxe, Tokyo, on October 27, 2009. If you'd like to know what that string instrument is that's accompanying my voice, well, one video is worth a thousand words... [more inside]
face to face to face
Two days ago I shot some video: a reflection of a man riding a Tokyo train, watching another moving train (a shinkansen) pass by on a parallel track. I made this music today, to serve as accompaniment for the 58-second film. I uploaded the video earlier this evening to YouTube here.
Rock Riff thingy...
...is a part of a little soundtrack I did for my kids. Their mock-trailer is... [more inside]
Bell Temple (Tixi's Theme)
Music for a video game I'm (slowly but surely) writing - an underground labyrinth of hourglasses, pendulums, and time-based puzzles. [more inside]
mission has failed reprise (with Video)
I've posted this song here previously, but I wanted to share the video I made for it with the help of my lovely and talented assistant Jacob Guza. Hope you enjoy.

No Title
This is a live version of a song I did with Video, a band I'm no longer in.
Call 0600
Some boppy electronic pop. Inspired by chip tunes.
