My Jude

An arrangement of a great poem by headspace.

headspace answered the MefiMusic call for lyrics over in Metatalk with this, and I immediately liked it. I decided to switch the gender since the song is so intimate (I hope you don't mind headspace!).

The poem as lyrics is tricky because of its density. It ended up almost being like a pop 'art song'.

This is great, I love the line about sticking sticking a spit wet finger in your ear. Good job on singing this, I looked at that poem and liked it but wasn't daring enough to try and convert it to song.

This is really excellent. Having the lyrics flow so freely and train-of-thoughty across a ragtimey guitar part like that, well, it's just gorgeous.

Very well done. I can't believe you wrote this music in response to someone else's words, it blends so well that it seems one of those things that take a long time and evolve and change a lot. Congratulations, umbú.
