You Are Somewhere Around Here

Slowed-down krautrocky shoegaze pop, if such a thing exists. Like finding your pants tightening while under gas in a dentist's chair.

My remix of the Maybenauts' "You Are Here," posted here with mod-team permission. There's been a lot of talk recently about slowed-down music; this isn't to the extreme of the Justin Bieber post on the front page, but it didn't have the same intent.

I did their entire EP and am working on tracks by the Velcro Lewis Group (who've asked me to remix their whole current album) and Running. I also have been giving this treatment to Bratmobile and Bikini Kill songs, just for kicks.

This is great! It's hard to believe it's just another song slowed down.

I really like this. Loved the sonic wall of sound while still maintaining dynamics. I was a little unsure when the vocals came in, sounded like Patty Smith, but then as the chorus kicked in and the vox were doubled with harmonies, it all made sense. Really great sound!
