fuq's theme

Everyone needs a theme song to play when they enter a thread. Here's mine. Super ADHD massive drums, cuts, and effects that explodes into hard house.

(Also 'your theme music' is a fantastic challenge subject)

unSane, I made it with free software; multitrack audio editor Audacity, Hydrogen drum machine, a Zoom H4 digital recorder and a Numark 1520 turntable. The disco sample is from Kano's "It's a War" and I also sampled Kraftwerk's "Tour de France" 12' remix. The drums were recorded from a variety of Garifuna drums and of course also sample an 808, the Amen and Think break and all the snare hits from Ernest Ranglin's "Congo Man". The word "fuck" is from Ninjasonik's "Holla 4 a Dollar" (warning, extreme "early internet" style website).
BONUS: Original version of "Congo Man" by the Congos.

Phat beats!
A conversation I often have is "What theme music would you like to have play when you enter a room?" My favourite reply was from a guy I worked with at Rand McNally, who thought for a minute and said, "Something soft but mysterious. Riders on the Storm."
I would be SO down with "Thread entrance original theme music" as a monthly challenge.

A real nice tribal flavour. I love drums, and this hit the spot.

That was fantastic. I have no idea how you go about making something like that -- I've tried and failed miserably -- but it had more ideas in four minutes than most dance music goes through in an entire evening.
