Seems like a combo of 1D and that band Metro Station. Strong post-apocalyptic vibes. posted by Corduroy at 8:28 AM on

Thanks! This was actually a lot of fun, production-wise. I wanted to record it for my wife's birthday--it is, inexplicably, her current favorite tune--but wound up having to knock it all out in about 6 hours.
There are a few things I would have punched up, had I had the time, and a few out-and-out mistakes (protip: when you copy-paste sections, you should grab every track), but in all I'm pretty pleased.
(By the way, the goofy drum loop in the intro and elsewhere is built from samples of the Wurlitzer Swingin' Rhythm; I tried using a Casiotone canned beat, but it just wasn't working.) posted by uncleozzy at 12:17 PM on

Shows how out of the loop I am these days - I thought this was an original composition. I really must get out more. A splendid job nonetheless! posted by MajorDundee at 12:21 PM on

Major, you probably don't want to run in circles where this sort of thing is common knowledge, frankly. Consider yourself lucky. posted by uncleozzy at 12:30 PM on
