Recarpitulation

Hard rockin' instrumental inspired by driving cars fast with riffs to match the machinery.

Part of a 4 song EP.

I love this, totally rockin. I am not much of a metal listener, in general, but when I just sit down and jam, there is something so satisfying about a real heavy riff. I get that feeling just listening to this. Pretty bad-ass.

Liked this. Started thinking of King Crimson's Larks' Tongues In Aspic somewhere towards the end, but that might just be because I don't listen to a lot of rock instrumentals.

I had not listened to Larks' Tongues In Aspic in a long time and fired it up after I read your comment. I can definitely see the resemblance, especially with my guitar tone, though this music is not as technical as KC.

Agreed, uncleozzy. it was nice to make music without having to worry about themes, lyrics and vocals until after it was done, just rock out on something we enjoy.

Thanks for the compliments.

I like the heaviness, and while the riffs and structure lean towards metal, the tone and feel is all classic rock, baby! And when the major 7th jam drops it feels really fresh, in a reinvigorated prog-rock way. The recording is pretty good too, maybe the drums could be a little louder, but isn't that always the case?

Nice work!

I'd be afraid to play this in my car, or I'd be breaking several the speed limits.

But it's a brilliant piece of guitar playing. It almost makes want to cum er figuratively.
