My entry for the final round of Nur Ein over on Song Fight. I was going for a Gram and Emmylou sort of thing. With perfect harmonies by greenish.

Nur Ein is an 8-week side-fight on Song Fight, where you are given a title and a challenge every week, and 3 people are eliminated every week until there is (Nur Ein) "only one." Just found out that I won!

I love the hanging phrases (e.g. at 0:52, "The situation that's between us..."), especially in this type of country music, and you nailed the harmonies and the pedal-steel. The way it nods to old-timey with the banjo at 1:40 is a very nice little flourish.

Now chococat, you and me have to do a duet, and the polygon will be complete!

This is fantastic! I don't really follow Mefi Music, but I'm going to start now (thanks to hearing this song in the podcast this month). Beautiful harmonies, wonderful lyrics! Thank you for sharing this!
