Challenge: Do what scares you? I'm scared of death and the concept of eternity. While I'm NOT about to DO that, I could write a song distilling my fears about said subject matter, yes? Yes. OK, it's a deal, then.

Nice piano part! The chord progression is really cool as well. Kind of a Pink Floyd vibe to this one.

Thanks for the piano compliment, and the Pink Floyd reference in general. I have a soft spot in my heart for Floyd. I was starting to notice the Floyd-ness as I recorded it; my few attempts at putting a guitar solo where the piano is really brought that into focus. It has a lot of the same chords Gilmour uses – 6ths and major 7ths for example – and is similar to "Breathe" in particular.

Wow, this is maybe my favorite of your originals that I've heard so far. I love the arrangement, I like the drums and cymbals and piano especially, and I think your singing fits right in with the style of the song.
