True Love Will Find You In The End (Daniel Johnston Cover)

May 24, 2017 10:25 AM

If you know of him, you may have an opinion that Daniel Johnston is a outsider genius, a troubled victim of hipster exploitation, or simply a not-so-typical independent musician who found his audience. If nothing else, his work is irrefutably full of sincerity and emotion. This little piece of his is one of the great American songs.

Tricone resophonic guitar, keyboards and voice.

Oh jeez, was just doing a catchup pass this morning and yesssssss. Love this song, recorded a version myself a few (christ was it nine?) years ago.

I really like your take. Really lovely use of a handful of elements, it comes together wonderfully.

Wonderful, especially the keyboard interlude!

(Could have sworn I had already commented here, but I obviously have not.) Wanted to say that this has been in my head a lot over the past couple of weeks. Nice clean rendition and I agree with Corduroy that the keyboard part is great; it gives the song an additional warm layer.
