The most frozenest river around

June 29, 2007 10:21 PM

A song inspired by crossing the frozen river Neva in Saint Petersburg, Russia. This song is short, simple, and basically three choruses and no verses. That's right - screw the verses!

This is awesome on so many levels. The banjo... the catchy vocals...

Uf! It starts great, gets better and then it gets better again. What a cool song, man.

Once the whistling kicks in, it starts to remind me a little of Andrew Bird--I really love this track. Thanks for sharing it.

I just realized what your vocals on this track remind me of -- there's an old song called "Moanin' for You" by the Mills Brothers.

I listened to this when you first posted it, but got so busy yapping to my wife about your music, I forgot to comment.

Let's just say that I've listened to it 3 time in a row right now. Nice!

Every time I hear a banjo it reminds me that I ought to learn to play the one I've got. (I also enjoy this track an awful lot. It just lopes along like an un-frozen river.)

It's great. It has a really cool feel and the harmonics on the banjo really work.
