So Does Everybody Else, Only Not So Much

Adaptation (more or less) of an Ogden Nash poem of the same name. Essentially an apology from an aging man who spends his time boring people with the same stories.

What is that bass? sounds really good and it's not what I've thought of as a first choice of bass for your sound, but it actually works very well. You definitely are a genre of your own, as someone else said in one of your previous songs. Very nice, as every time.

Wow, this is beautifully done. This just hits the spot and seemingly effortlessly.
This may be a dumb question, but do mic to play an instrument and sing simultaneously or is the vocal on a separate track? I'm guessing a separate track is the "right" way, but I'm finding that I "sing" a little better when playing the guitar and I'm curious about what you do. (Not that I'll ever sound like you!:)
Thanks for the great song!

Thanks guys, like always!
micayetoca - It's one of the garageband basses... I think meant more for dance music! Not my first choice either, but I felt it kinda worked in this one.
snsranch - That's not a dumb question at all! And I agree with you exactly. I think separate is probably the "right" way (or at least lets you tweak each one separately afterwards), but lately I've been doing vocals + main guitar together, partly because these songs are somewhat improvised anyway. From time to time I get burned though because I'll record a whole song well... but the vocals are way too high, and I can't adjust them!

I had a feeling you might have been doing that sometimes but wasn't sure. Thanks, I'm gonna give it a shot!

I enjoy this a lot and I like the general story a lot in addition to the banjo because hey, you can't go wrong with banjo.
