Song I wrote and recorded recently when thinking about how thankful I am for my friends.
Recorded live while also recording a video, then dubbed in some extras.

This sad 'one song in three years' rate of posting has got to go.

Thanks, y'all.
umbú - I'll post some more... just don't want to overwhelm the mefi with a deluge of sorrow =)
Corduroy - I hear that Nick Drake comparison more than anything else I think... I do like Nick Drake, I just hope my future is a little lighter ;)

Bring on the deluge. If they're like this one, we can take it.

This, um, goes on the short list of songs to play at my funeral, if I have one. Or at least, that's my first thought on hearing it. Don't hold me to it, though. Plus the "Marie" thing's an issue, unless I meet a mighty significant one between now and then...
You should track down Susan Crowe's song If I'm Spared. It was based on a series of her grandfather's letters from the twenties, addressed to friends and contemplating mortality and the coming winter... This one hits me like that one does. Thanks.

This strikes a heady mix of transient joy and abiding sorrow, while still urging one to tap their toes. This certainly goes on a playlist of mine. Thank you.
