WILDCARD challenge -- again with the three part acapella harmony
I was thinking of fun songs I used to sing along with and this one popped into my head. I was about to upload it and saw the contest. Talk about being tailor made...
Once again, this song is me X 3

I think it's my favorite version of You Are My Sunshine that has been posted here, and there's been a few. Great work, ibfrog.

I like this a lot. No beat boxing?? I'm not positive, but I think you use the most verses out of all the versions on MefiMu.

Thanks for the comments :-)
I couldn't remember the lyrics, so I google'ed them and sang the first page I found.

And also, I love the guitar you play in your song 'Riff tide'. Why don't you ever sing and play guitar? I'd be really interested to hear what you come up with. It would be super if you recorded vocals to Riff tide.

Corduroy's right -- this needs beatboxing. Uh CHHH uh uh uh CHHH uh CHHH uh uh uh CHHH
What's your method here? Are you just winging it, or how much of the arrangement do you sit down and work out? Do you lay down a guide track first for key and tempo, or no?
Nice stuff.

The reason I don't play and sing is that I can't do it at the same time... I'm just not that good at guitar yet. If I get some time this week I'll play around with Riff Tide (since its already recorded) and see what I can do.
This is the first song I've sung with an arrangement in mind. I used to have a keyboard that I could play around with. I _really_ can't play the keyboard, but I plunked out this song with a harmony line a long time ago.
Usually I sing a verse of the melody and then try to place a tenor harmony with it by ear till I hit something I like. Then I re-record the melody for the song I'm going to do and record the tenor part. I sing the bass part last since its the easiest part for me to come up with (spent a lot of time singing bass in choir)
I really should lay down a guide track, but so far I've been using the melody line as my guide.

Aww. This is lovely. This song always makes me cry, for some reason.
