This song has a feel I haven't easily been able to reproduce since recording it. I can barely play the song live. Despite some horrific essing, probably my favorite home recording.

This is just damned nice, kingbenny. The simple structure works great and those harmonies on the chorus change send me straight into psychoacoustic equivalent of Aw, Hugs territory. I can see why you like the recording.

(And the essing isn't anywhere near horrific. You got me all braced for SSSSSIBILANCCCCCE for nothing.)

Golly, that's great. At first I was distracted by the tile-y reverb on the vocal, but then I stopped noticing because the whole thing is so neat. I love the gentle harmonies and, as always, the harmonica.

As an aside, are you doing something to the vocal track that causes some of the big, sibilant esses to slide to the right? (For example, on "see" at 0'35" and "say" at 2'24".) Have I not fully regained the hearing in my left ear yet (this is altogether possible), is it an otherwise-really-amazing vocal double, or something else?

That I liked.

I really enjoyed this. I especially dig your vocal; the delivery is really soothing and adds to the nice atmosphere of relaxation.

I love the vocal production and the overall sound of the recording. That guitar sounds glorious too. Very well done!

Very astute catch, uncleozzy. I think what you're hearing is simply the fact that the vocals are every so slightly panned off right, so when something really sticks out (like the sibilant esses), it stands out on the right.

Thanks, everybody.

Wow. That's *really* nice.

A song this simple and (dare I say) charming (I do dare) is soooo easy to do wrong. And you totally kick butt throughout. Low key butt. But butt nonetheless. (but but but but butt butt butt...)

The hissy vocal with an occasional ess is nice. Maybe it's just me, but it fits the voice in this song.

And the harmony vox is dead on with the lead vocal. Nice.

The entrance of the harmonica startled me. Maybe I have issues, though.

Nice work.

Yeah, while it can be said that it's very simple, I think it's perfect. This song didn't need anything else, nothing is over the top and I think the music is exactly what it should be to accompany those lyrics. You nailed it perfectly kingbenny.

It's a really, really lovely song. The simplicity of the melody allows for subtle changes (such as in the delivery of the line "the things you made") to become immensely expressive.

Jeez, that's pleasing! This is on my best new artist list. Glad you posted, now I'm a fan!
