Stargate Defender

March 2, 2009 5:00 AM

A dubstep workout on the 808 kit, with liberal usage of videogame samples.

Track is from side 2 of the "Barley Movin' EP" available now as a free download (320/FLAC/WAV) from Digital Tunes. It's a fairly sparse affair, with big bass thumps characteristic of the genre, slow Southern crunk-claps, and plenty of nods to the Williams Electronics games which are still personal favorites of mine. It's kinda more like a DJ tool for sets and etc., but I thought I'd share it with y'all here.

This one especially goes out to my peoples at MeFight, woohoo! Great folks with which to game.

Yessss. Do you have a real 808, or is that a software implementation? I've been listening to Hello Nasty and LFO, getting all nostalgic for that sound.
