Dance For Me

In case you thought I went soft, here's some butt rock for you to blast in your Trans Am.

I've had this sitting around since last summer sometime, but I never got around to recording a vocal track (because 1. it's a monumentally stupid song; and 2. it doesn't particularly suit my voice). I laid one down last night, though, and figured somebody might get a kick out of it.

Man, this is a perfect representative of the genre. And the genre might be dumb loud rock, but this is well done dumb loud rock. And as to your voice, it doesn't sound out of place. Of course, you are not Vince Neil or Sebastian Bach, but your voice doesn't hurt the song at all. That said:

This kicks ass! Whatever "motif" you play in the first bar of the chorus, right under the vocal "Dance for me," that is THE SOUND! It comes right off a Boston record (Rock n Roll Band?), and it fucking rocks.

Oh man, I forgot how awesome Boston was.

So right on.

I stand in awe of your ability to mix this stuff so perfectly.

If you'd told me this was some unknown 80s hair metal band, I would've believed it. Great fun.
