Skallelujah

June 10, 2009 6:47 PM

Although the song says the distinction is irrelevant, this is definitely the BROKEN hallelujah.

Made with garage band, trumpet, trombone; bass, and guitars were played through a marshall JCM 2000 halfstack.

Done in about three days, because I'm unemployed.

Agreed, very well done. I'm listening to it on a laptop, are those real drums?

nice metal drums

thanks, y'all. The drums are all GarageBand loops, some that are left as is, and others that i've cut up and re-arranged like it was Jungle.

OMG the horns in between "the fourth, the fifth/The minor fall, the major lift" made me go squee.

Excellent. I put that horn part there specifically to make people go squee. Thanks for alerting me of my success.

Wow, best use of garageband drums I've ever heard. I can never get those right.

I have subscribed to the podcast feed, and all of a sudden I started getting every possible cover of Hallelujah possible. This was my favorite.

My favorite part was where she smoked his bowl. HA!
posted by sambosambo at 11:10 AM on June 14, 2009

the line was actually "she smoked your bone, she cut your hair," because I thought the song wasn't explicit enough. Also, because I think the phrase "she smoked his bone" is funny.
