A subdued synthetic rock/instrumental track by me. If you like Sigur Ros, you might like this.

That is beautiful. i have never heard of Sigur Ros but I like this.
Please pardon the comparison, but this reminds me of the best instrumental moments of Peter Gabriel's last album, "US", which is one of my favourite recordings. There is a bassy, breathy and relaxed quality in common, and great synthetic sound gestures. Just lovely. I can hear PG singing over this.
I'd love to hear this without the "drum" track that is there. That is the only thing that distracts me from the music. I AM hearing the busy strings underneath. Maybe just a "shaker" or something very, very minimal in terms of percussion: a treble beat. The pulse of the piece is obvious. I like the sound of the "ride" cymbal at the very end and I would be happy with that throughout. I just find the drums too obvious and unneccessary. Just my 2¢ and worth about as much.
Thanks for this. Beautifully done.

Ahhhh. Lost a bunch of my old music files, and came back to get my old mefi faves. This was on the top of the list. Makes my bones melt into a puddle of happy.
