Grand Canyon (The Magnetic Fields)

A cover of the great song by The Magnetic Fields, recorded by myself but for a cover band that is beginning to form called the Magnetic Feel-'er-uppers. Features Bb stairwell guitar, whistling, and harmonica/harmony.

Great! Your recordings are sounding more polished lately. I like the banging around kinda feel this one has.

Yea, great cover, man. I have to say though, that this hits me in some deeper places that the original doesn't. All of the instrumentation is great, and your voice really sets the tone and feeling.
This is one of those things I could listen to on a loop while writing or doing some art. It really takes me someplace.

A great cover choice, Corduroy. You've definitely taken the song to a new level here. Beautiful and haunting. The wailing vocals (?) in the background are my favorite part.

Yeah I agree. 69 Love Songs in general has some really great songs but a lot of half-baked throw-away songs as well, so there is a lot of room to flesh out some of the material on that album.

Thanks for listening everyone! I feel like covering the Magnetic Fields could easily be a blasphemy of sorts, so it's really nice that I haven't spit on them just yet.
The wailing vocals (?)
Is the question mark because you aren't sure they are vocals? That may be the whistling, if it is only during the chorus. Regardless, I really appreciate compliments on either, so thanks!

Yeah, I guess it's whistling, I just couldn't tell. Sounds big for a whistle.
