I posted a version of this last year, but the mix was appalling (bass too hot). Finding myself at something of a musical loose end, I thought I'd have another crack at it.
And, yes, I know the guitar riff sounds to some people like a steal from Sniff & The Tears "Driver's Seat". The case for the defence is that the riff is a fairly basic and common arpegiatted (is that a word? It is now) progression. However, riffs seldom maketh a song and I submit that the vocal melody and lyric is entirely different m'lud. Ergo, my client refutes any suggestion of nefarious practices and resents such grubby inferences as to his character. Or something like that.
