Bridge To Death

A downtempo mashup of John Frusciante's The Will to Death and Under the Bridge by the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

A friend and I decided to have a friendly mashup competition. This being my very first crack at creating a mashup, I decided to go as simple as possible. Serendipitously, the guitar and vocals are nearly perfectly matched to each other, save for some tempo adjustments.

Yes, this is a great mash-up, but damn me for not being a great MeFite. There was a post just a couple of days ago about how this particular chord progression has been used throughout rock n roll history. You should look it up, it's a great post.

So while I'm digging this, I also find it very interesting in the big scheme of things.

(Just a side note: technically or according to the "rules" you should be posting only original music. I only mention that because somebody might care about the rules. Personally, I think this is a great job and I really enjoy it.)
