"Borderline/Norwegian Wood"

I'm singing and playing the Reggie Lucas-written hit off Madonna's first album, but I just threw in George Harrison's wistfully lilting lick on the Beatles' "Revolver" classic for fun.

s: Sorry about the volume, I didn't trust myself to stay in tune if I got much louder. The solution is better miking.

I tried increasing the volume in Audacity but then the background noise becomes more prominent. This sounds great but there's too many artifacts in the silence and I can't clear them out with my cheesy free software stuff. Hopefully someone with better equipment and talent and savvy than me will come along and salvage this cuz it's pretty, and a really cool idea of mixing these two songs they go so well together here, but it's so quiet and amplifying the recording doesn't improve things.
Maybe someday you'll rerecord it, George? =) Don't worry about making yourself louder for the recording. Just be sure the mic's getting you strong and clear and leave the rest to post production. =)
