this is what it sounds like when you shrink a lowrider down and go cruising around for circuits to listen to on in a motherboard and then there's an earthquake

This sounds like something straight out of the Genesis version of Shadowrun (e.g.) Love it :)

Ok, I think I've worked out my EQ and mastering issues. I wrote this using a pair of earbuds that have excellent extended bass response but tend to mute mids/highs - it's not really supposed to be that much treble, and the bass drum kicks should have been deep, rolling lowrider style bass drums.
It might play well on speakers with a subwoofer or headphones with really deep bass response, but I checked out the original mix with an EQ and analyzer and most of the bass drum kicks are below 60-100 hz, which can't really be properly reproduced without a good subwoofer, so I retuned the drum track and filtered it with a parametric EQ to get more of the energy above 100hz while trying to keep most of the really deep bass intact.
Don't be surprised if I have this post deleted and replace it with the remastered version, but I'm going to see if the mods can just replace the file on the post.
(Whoever says making electronic music is easy hasn't ever tried it from scratch. Audio mastering in general is hard, but mixing for good sound on a wide variety of speakers is nigh impossible.)
