The latest sound, kids: run yer thumb piano through a cheap pitch shifter. Recorded live at Super Deluxe, Tokyo, July 5, 2010. Video of this same performance may be viewed on ye olde YouTubes.

That's awesome. Really intriguing sounds. That high-pitched intro part doesn't sound like anything else, other than maybe some random moment of Chinese opera. And when it comes down in pitch and you start singing, it sounds great as well. You shouldn't have told us what you were up to, and just let us try to figure out what you were doing--I wonder what we would have said. A xylophone recorded by a mic inside an empty fishbowl?

I put this on and my grandmother and the cat left the room almost immediately - in fact I think I saw some of our mice heading for the door with hastily-packed suitcases, muttering under their breath.... :-)

Cool sound - I'd have had no idea what that was if you hadn't provided a clue.

Yeah, but your grannie was already late for the Lady Gaga show, right?

As for the cat, well, no explaining that.

My grandmother is Lady Gaga - not necessarily the Lady Gaga, but certainly a Lady Gaga. The ravages of gin. And death, of course. That can have quite an impact on cognitative powers, so I believe.
