Goodbye

On Sunday I'm leaving my friends and family and boyfriend to go off and live in Britain for a year and attend university. This is a song about that, which I finished today.

As usual, I wish I could actually play piano, but there it is. Recorded "live" in my living room.

hi. this kind of resonated me with me because my daughter's leaving to go to university soon. she's only going to be a few miles away but still, we're both finding it a bit hard. i'm not going to play it to her because she'll probably weep buckets and i might too. i hope it all goes well for you. it's a big thing.

oh, and i liked the piano too.

Thanks, peterkins. I really consider myself to be an unusually appalling pianist, but I thank you for the compliment all the same.

It's really hard leaving... For me it's leaving the boyfriend that's the hardest part. We're gonna try to make it work, but we both worry...
