An Anger
October 24, 2010 1:04 PM
Some kind of folk-ish song with a dash of electric thrown in. It's the beginning of a narrative – not sure what exactly. Includes a way too ambitious lyrical reference to Amazing Grace.
Lyrics
there was an anger
I gathered in my heart
like ammunition
loaded in the dark
struck by a notion
I broke the piece/peace(?)
opened the chambers
and looked to the east
red sun was rising
over the hills
revealing intentions
I aimed to kill
rhythm of blood
flows through my veins; beats in my chest
so I … scattered the bullets
and turned to the west
===
there will be moments in your life
when the rage you hold inside
makes you insane
if you let your weapon go
the direction will be shown
follow the way
===
disarm and deliver
recoiled around
trigger transgressions
hammer it down
target the reason
a force unforeseen
the fragments of anger
became the seeds
===
there will be moments in your life
when the rage you hold inside
makes you insane
if you let your weapon go
the direction will be shown
follow the way
===
I … I was blind
now I see
now I see
I … I was blind
now I see
now I see
