Guitar is My Gun

November 15, 2010 6:04 PM

Self explanatory.

Guitar is My Gun

PREPARE YOURSELVES FOR DESTRUCTION!

I pledge allegiance,
To nothin’ at all,
'cept women and whiskey,
And rock n’ roll.

I serve no master,
I’m a free-wheelin’ man,
I was raised by wolves,
In a hostile land.

WARNING. WARNING. WARNING.

I carry no flag,
I bow to no one,
Cause I am an outlaw…
my guitar is my gun.

My guitar is my gun.
My guitar is my gun,
Look out world,
I’m rebel’s son,
I got nothin’ to lose,
I’m a child of the blues,
And it’s (Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!)
My guitar is my gun.

I worship no idols,
I salute no generals.
I take my orders,
From my own free will.

Got no big dreams,
No deep regrets,
I’m in all the way,
Ain’t hedgin’ my bets.

I carry no flag,
I bow to no one,
Cause I am an outlaw…
my guitar is my gun.

My guitar is my gun.
My guitar is my gun,
Look out world,
I’m rebel’s son,
I got nothin’ to lose,
I’m a child of the blues,
And it’s (Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!)
My guitar is my gun.

Bridge: (with feeling)
I wanna live the life I choose,
I wanna live a life that’s free
I will do what I must do,
I will be what I will be…

Don’t got no medals,
No money or fame,
Just full-throttle rocker,
Without a name.

Ain’t no bloody poser,
no need to be seen,
Just wanna smoke the tires
Of a rock n’ roll machine.

I carry no flag,
I bow to no one,
Cause I am an outlaw…
my guitar is my gun.

My guitar is my gun.
My guitar is my gun,
Look out world,
I’m rebel’s son,
I got nothin’ to lose,
I’m a child of the blues,
And it’s (Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!)
My guitar is my gun.

I misread 'raised by wolves' as 'raised by olives'.

This is awesome and hilarious. This would be a hit in 1979.

Man, you totally took me by surprise with this! Kick fucking ass! Those guitar riffs are great too, they're just Hendrixy and twisted enough to make this a classic.

Speaking of '79, this kinda reminds me of Cheech and Chong's song in the Battle of the Bands bit in Up in Smoke.

It's a bit of a joke, but maybe not if you like early metal... It's from a project I'm working on with a friend of mine where we shared lyric ideas in a metal state of mind. So they're not anything more than seriously unserious. I'll post another song or two that I'm proud of from the project soon. The record is tentatively named "Even Metalheads Cry." I'll send out the title song next.
