For the cortex compilation. Recorded today as a quick one-take solo acoustic guitar piece. Hope you like it!

First of all, this is beautiful. Second, are you playing a nylon string "classical" guitar? It's fairly obvious but in some parts it's hard to tell because of the crisp bite of the strings. I love your sound!

Also, one take? You effin show off! Ha, kidding, I love this.

I liked it a lot. I play piano. Lets create a band on Myspace...jk. Good job.

snsranch: It's a gypsy-jazz acoustic guitar, the Gitane DG-250M. It's got steel strings but has a distinct sound due to the shape of the soundhole, the bridge, etc.

Also, my microphone (a computer mike) is pretty lousy, and I had to do a bit of quick noise reduction to remove the deafening hiss -- hence the slightly muted bass and my "one-take" disclaimer... I'd have liked to have spent more time on it, but I had to put it together quickly. Thanks for the nice words!

Nice.

For Elliott Smith fans, The Bad Plus do a nice rendition of one of his songs as well.
