Picking, Humming and Whistling

This is practice based on what I've learned about recording here on MuFi. Please comment on my recording skill or lack of. Regarding compression and mic "liveness": am I getting there?

I'm not an audiophile but this sounded good to me. If only I had a horse to ride into the sunset.

That was awesome. You must make a full song about cowboys and desperados and regret out of it.

Lovely cowboyish vingnette.
The sense of space, of liveness and distance, is very much there, if we're using the same vocabulary. The parts mix well together, and feel very present without seeming squashed the way overcompression can do.
