This is progressive instrumental death metal played in a strange tuning. Lots of layered guitar and bass work.

Nicely done, I'm enjoying this. The little guitar/bass drum triplets are cool. So what's strange about the tuning?

Thanks! The tuning is A G C F A D....basically standard tuning down a step with the low string tuned down a 4th further. So, a power chord shape on the lowest two strings would be an octave instead of a 5th. It adds a lot of depth to the rhythm sound, and makes some unique voicing easy. Neurosis does this a lot, as does Mastodon. I think Isis and Intronaut may play a tuning like this but F E A D F B, which gets to be REALLY low.
