Celebrated Summer

My 12-string and I take a fingerpicking stab at the Husker Du classic.

Recorded super lo-fi with just my laptop mike.

Man, I was worried for a second that this was an entry for the bandIhate challenge.

Big kudos to you, man. This sounds great and pretty dynamic for being such a lo-fi recording. I've tried some 12 string finger pickin' and man it ain't easy! Bravo!

(FTR, I love Husker Du and Bob Mould.)

Thanks, man! And whoops on the bandIhate challenge; I kind of spaced that out, didn't mean to cause a scare.

It's funny, when I got the 12-string and started fingerpicking, I thought it was brutal. I've been at it a couple of weeks now and it seems normal, but now playing my 6-string feels weird as hell. My fingertips are looking pretty freaky these days, though...

Really great! I don't know if the two songs share chord/note progressions or what, but my brain keeps trying to turn it into I Will Dare at the bouncy bits. Must be some sort of Minnesota thing.
